Music Workshops
Past Workshops (we may run them again – let us know if you’re interested!)
Conscious Minds
This music project aimed to give volunteers the chance to make others aware of the issues and difficulties that young people face in today's society through music.
Volunteers were taught how to record and produce their own professional-standard EP.
Introduction to Recording
Beginner’s guide to using a recording studio.
Volunteers learnt basic music production, acoustic, microphone techniques, record and editing using Logic software and G5 apple mac.
Songwriting
Two of Bristol’s most experienced songwriters demonstrated how to construct and structure song writing. Volunteers were shown how to express themselves creatively through rhythm, rhyme, melody and harmony.
Drum Samples
This project helped our young MCs, singers and musicians to get their music out into the community. Volunteers gained experience in micing and recording drum kit by volunteering to record sample loops in various styles to donate to the studio.
Music Routes
This project aimed to provide a voice for young musicians and vocalists from Bristol’s diverse backgrounds.
